As parents, you definitely worry about your teenagers’ future — as do I, as an Imam. As an Islamic teacher, I have been teaching our children for years, Alhamdu lillah. However, I’ve noticed that when students move on to college or university, they are often exposed to many non-Islamic ideologies and influences, which can distract them from their Deen and core Islamic values.

Through years of observation, I’ve found this happens due to a lack of deep Islamic understanding. In Maktabs, our children often memorize a few Soorahs, Hadiths, and other lessons — but only a few truly apply those teachings in daily life.

To overcome this and instil lasting Islamic values in teenagers’ growing minds, I am planning to launch a two-year Islamic (Pre-‘Alimiyyah) Course. This course will help them connect with the Deen at its root — through core Islamic texts — and strengthen their love for Islam, Insha Allah.

• Designed for after-Maktab students (ages 15–17)
• Strong foundation in authentic Islamic knowledge
• Arabic language instruction to connect with the Qur’an
• Islamic perspectives on modern-day issues
• Tajweed from basic to advanced levels, Insha Allah
• Understanding Fiqh with evidences from Qur’an and Sunnah
• Explore the revelation and preservation of the Qur’an
• Understand the essential role of Hadith in Islam
• Tafseer of selected Soorahs and Ayahs of the Qur’an

Schedule:

Classes held every Saturday — 2 hours per week.
